So I didn't look too much into the companions for WotR before the game came out, and made my PC for my first play through a Divine Herbalist Oracle. I recruited Daeran and REALLY love his character, but he unfortunately fills almost exactly the same niche as my PC. While I could respec myself, I've grown attached to my current build.

Any of those options will work. Anything else is going to involve a lot of tough fights. Step 1: Once you have a mythic rank, take the mythic ability for an extra mystery and pick nature. Early game it's solid and it becomes downright broken later. It's mostly melee but you can smite the entire screen with oracle spells or bolt/storm of justice later. For WotR, I expect that a dedicated cleric will be a useful convenience, but far from a necessity. General consensus is that using healing spell is basically wasted action economy. You can respec companion but they are locked into feats /class level they had when you meet them. For Seelah, I honestly see no reason not to do full Paladin. Lore-wise, that is what she is as an iconic. WOTR as a campaign also is perfectly tailored to Paladin, and base Paladin is super effective. cedar bluff state park map The easy choice is either between Daeran and Sosiel, and I personally would rather have Daeran with the party, but I find that as soon as my oracle reaches the first rank of angel, I flat outclass Daeran in everything except channeling heals. I have higher spell levels, more oracle spells, and the angel's array of spells to boot.If you are not familiar with the Pathfinder ruleset, you really should start with Kingmaker, and you will get more mileage out of a Summoner Build. In Wotr, there is a lot more moving parts, the enemies and stats are way higher, and like 99% of the things you summon wont be good enough to hit anything and will due fast.
